Message from the President of Limi-Nawah S.A.

As the President y Legal Representative of the first indigenous business in Nicaragua LIMI-NAWAH S.A., I would like to thank you for visiting our web site and at the same time hope that you can find whatever information you may be looking for without problem. We are sixteen integrated Miskito and Mayagnan communities that depend upon this company for our well-being. We are working to use our wood resources, develop management plans with a focus on ecosystem maintenance.  We are involved in all aspects of the industrial cycle from harvest to processing and we have hopes to be able to ultimately add substantial value to our forest through secondary and tertiary products including the certifi9cation of our forest lands.

Abraham Clark Rosales
President, Limi-Nawah S.A.

BIOGRAPHY

My name is Abraham Clark Rosales. I am originally from the indigenous community of Dos Amigos situated in the Municipality of Prinzapolka and now of the Territorial Authority, Prinzu Awala. I was born in Rosita in 1978. I am a Miskito Indian and very proud of my heritage. I have spent a large part of my life in Rosita, as the level of education and health services in my communities has been very poor.  I graduated from high school in 1998 and  in 1999 received a scholarship from the Foundation for the development of Autonomy on the Atlantic Coast of Nicaragua (FADCANIC). This led me to the Autonomous University of Chapingo in México for 5 years where I graduated as a forest engineer with a specialization in forest renewal.  My aspirations have always been to return to my country, especially to the lands of my ancestors and to be an exemplary leader for my people. I have the honour to serve my people and the trust they have bestowed in me to represent them and to use the education of my life to serve them.
